Employee Slips and Fractures His Leg Unloading a Plane

At approximately 11:35 a.m. on July 6, 2005, Employee #1, a ramp agent, was handling baggages at an airport carousel. His job consisted of loading and unloading baggage from the airplane. He drove a tug hooked with three carts loaded with passenger bags to the carousel conveyor belt Number 25. He parked the tug, got off, and began unloading the bags from a cart, placing them on the belt conveyor. He slipped, lost his footing and fell. His lower right leg struck the foot path step causing a fracture. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
