Employee injured in fall off wet roof

Employee #1 was a supervisor for The All-Seal Company, a contractor engaged in waterproofing and roof maintenance. On the day of the accident, he and two coworkers responded to a report of a leaking roof in San Ramon, CA. One of the coworkers arrived first and went up a ladder to the roof. Employee #1 arrived a few minutes later and also climbed the ladder. As soon as he stepped off the secured ladder onto the roof, he slipped and fell about 21 ft to the ground. The edge of the cedar shake roof had a slight slope and it was drizzling.
