Employee's eye socket fractured in fall on loader bucket

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on June 3, 1999, Employee #1, of Martin Construction, was unloading a vibraplate tamper/compactor from the back of a van into the bucket of a loader when he slipped on the wet steel of the bucket and fell forward, striking the top rim of the bucket. He suffered a fractured left eye socket and was hospitalized for three days.
