Investigation Summary
Employee #1, a coating mechanic, was watching the Number 3 coater machine while the operator took a break. He turned off the coater and cleaned the rails. He then turned the machine back on and walked around to the other side of the machine. As he reached in to clean the rail, the roller grabbed his glove and pulled his hand into the roller crushing his right hand. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
