Investigation Summary
On November 16, 1998, Employee #1 was working as a seasonal almond huller preclean operator. While leveling the almonds in the bin using a short handle shovel Employee #1 climbed into the bin. His right hand ricocheted when his arm hit the wall and then moved forward, thus the hand came in contact with the auger end unit. He sustained an injury to the right hand for which he was hospitalized.
