Employee is injured when Struck By Falling Tree

On June 30, 2005, Employee #1, a timber feller working for a logging contract feller, was felling a tree and was moving away from the tree as it fell when he slipped and fell to the ground. The tree brushed against another tree and kicked back, striking Employee #1 as he lay on the ground. Employee #1 stated that the tree struck him before he could get up and move. Employee #1's right hip was fractured when the tree struck him. He was hospitalized.
