Employee Is Injured in Fall from Forklift

Employee #1, a saw filer, was removing sharpened saws from a wooden box, which was sitting atop the forks of a forklift truck, elevated 14 ft in the air to the same level as the first floor of the saw mill. The wooden box was not secured to the mast or forks of the forklift truck. When Employee #1 entered the wooden box to remove the last saw out of the box, the box slipped off of the forks of the forklift truck and fell to the ground with Employee #1 and the saw in the box. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
