Investigation Summary
On January 22, 2007, Employee #1, a tree trimmer, was trimming a tree approximately 40 ft above the ground, when he fell out of the tree. Employee #1 sustained strain and sprain injuries to his left shoulder and arm and additional injuries to his hip and right knee. Employee #1 was not hospitalized. Employee #1's safety strap came off the end of his climbing line. He forgot to check his line after having moved to a new location.
