Employee Lacerates Thumb with Circular Saw

On May 8, 2006, Employee #1 was working in new home construction, using a circular saw to cut a 2 by 6 block down to a 2-by-4. The blade got stuck in the wood, kicked backward, and ran over the thumb on Employee #1's left hand, lacerating it. He was hospitalized.
