ATV Accident Injures Driver

On November 1, 2001, Employee #1, an Associate Biologist for the Department of Fish and Game, was operating an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV). While driving back to his pickup truck, he drove off the road, causing the ATV to turn over on its side. Employee #1 injured his back and was hospitalized. Employee #1 was wearing a helmet, as required by the Department, and had attended a safety training class put on by the department prior to operating this ATV.
