Employee injured when assaulted in a store

On December 17, 2001, a Quick Stop Store Manager was preparing to leave the store, and was standing on the customer side of the counter talking to a coworker. At this time, three men entered the store. One man retrieved some beer, and was at the counter ready to buy, and the other two men were coming towards the counter. The two men had a 12 pack of beer and some bottles of 40-ounce beer. As they came towards the counter, they attacked the store manager, using their fists and the large 40-ounce bottles. The store manager was seriously injured. He suffered facial fractures and other injuries. He was hospitalized for 4 days.
