Employee injured by fall on wet grass

This county agency is the Public Works Department for Lassen County. Employee #1 works for the county as a building and grounds worker. On May 22, 2002, Employee #1 was checking the sprinkler system at the cemetery to assure its proper operation. Employee #1 was bending down to adjust the sprinkler head when he was sprayed in the face. Employee #1 stepped back quickly, slipped on the damp grass, and fell to the ground. Employee #1 fractured his ankle when he fell and was hospitalized.
