Employee's arm amputated by a conveyor belt

At approximately 1:00 a.m. on January 26, 2000, Employee #1 was cleaning meat from the unguarded belt and pulley of a conveyor belt. The conveyor started up and Employee #1's right arm was caught in the nip point. Employee #1's right arm was amputated below the shoulder during the rescue operation. He was hospitalized.
