Employee Falls from Elevated Platform and Suffers Cocussion

On March 1, 2005, an employee who worked for a company that distributed cork flooring stood on an elevated platform when another forklift came by and struck a piece of molding the employee was holding. The employee lost his balance and fell 8 ft to the floor. The employee received injuries to his head and was hospitalized with a concussion.
