Employee's leg fractured when struck by nail

On June 22, 2001, Employee #1, of Colafrancesco Framing, Inc. was using a pneumatic nail gun to frame the wall of a new home under construction in Roseville, CA. With the lumber lying on the concrete floor, he nailed the top plate to the studs. As he did this, he inadvertently held his finger on the trigger too long and fired a 16 penny nail into his calf, fracturing a bone. The Roseville Fire Department responded and transported Employee #1 to Kaiser Hospital in Roseville, where he was treated for over 24 hours.
