Investigation Summary
On April 30, 2002, a laborer was operating a conveyor belt when a "Frozen Roller" became stuck in the machine. The item was caught between the return roller and the conveyor belt. Without deenergizing the machine, the employee attempted to remove the lodged item and somehow became caught, pinning his neck and chest between the pipe and operating conveyor belt. The employee suffered neck and chest trauma from the injury.
