Investigation Summary
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on June 14, 2001, Employee #1 was assisting in the construction of a residential building. Using no ladder, he climbed a stud wall to gain access to the roof trusses (attic area) of the building that was located two-stories above the ground. After finishing the work, he was descending the stud wall when he slipped and fell approximately 19.5 ft onto a concrete surface. Emergency medical services were summoned and they transported him to the hospital. At the hospital, he was treated for multiple fractures and internal damages. He was hospitalized for several days to receive surgical treatment and postoperative care for the multiple injuries sustained in the accident.
