Blade Slices Employee's Finger While Cleaning Blade Shaft

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on September 12, 2001, Employee #1 was cleaning the blade shaft assembly on the line Number 6 Dicer. Employee #1 lifted the compartment of the blade shaft assembly with her left hand and sanitized the blades with a hose using her right hand. Employee #1 accidentally dropped the enclosure of the blade assembly and one of the blades sliced the tip of her right middle finger, even though the dicer was turned off. The Serial Number of the dicer was 4474.
