Investigation Summary
At approximately 7:05 a.m. on April 4, 2000, Employee #1 reported for duty at a ranger station and proceeded to clean the park's restrooms. At 11:00 a.m., he was found unconscious behind the steering wheel of his truck by three campers. The truck's radio was not working, so the campers removed Employee #1 from the vehicle and drove to a phone to call 911. One of the campers remained with Employee #1 until help arrived, but he was pronounced dead at 12:05 p.m., of an apparent heart attack.
