Investigation Summary
Employee #1, a mechanic, was using an old 10 in. king pin to press out the center bushing on a #340 Henderson beam. The pin slipped and flew out, striking him in the lower abdomen. Employee #1 was hospitalized for six days for internal bleeding and severe swelling of the scrotum; he did not immediately return to work.
