Employee fractures pelvis when run over by tractor

On August 23, 2003, the Tule River Ranch employed Employee #1, a farm worker. The ranch raised calves. The ranch assistant foreman was driving a John Deere tractor. At the time of the accident, Employee #1 was riding on the steps of the tractor. Employee #1 slipped off and the rear wheel of the tractor ran over his pelvis and fractured it. Employee #1 was hospitalized for treatment of his injury.
