Investigation Summary
Employee #1, a trim saw operator in a saw mill, was cross cutting a 1-inch by 4-inch board when the saw bound-up. He shut the saw off and reached down to free the board. The board turned sideways and his right middle finger was pulled against the turning saw blade. His finger was amputated and he was hospitalized.
