Employee injures back in fall from roof

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on December 8, 2003, Employee #1, a roofer, was walking near the edge of the second story roof under construction. He slipped and fell onto the first story roof and then fell to the ground. He was transported to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA where he was treated for a broken back. The roof had a 4 in 12 pitch and the second floor eave height was 18 feet.
