Employee's fractures leg between tractor and trailer

On April 27, 2004, Employee #1, a mechanic and laborer, was using a tractor with a bucket to load a small soil compactor onto a flat bed truck. He positioned the bucket just over the small sideboard and turned off the tractor. He and a coworker got in the truck and started moving it forward. As the truck moved forward, the blade of the bucket caught Employee #1's right leg just above the ankle, resulting in a compound fracture. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
