Employee injures fingers while operating table saw

Employee #1 was using a Delta 10-inch table saw to cut a 3-inch by 5-inch piece of plastic. As he was holding the piece of plastic and feeding it toward the blade, the left side of the plastic piece shot upward, turning the employees hand into the blade. He sustained cuts on three of his fingers.
