Employee Is Injured in Fall from Roof

On February 27, 2004, Employee #1, a roofer of South Placer Roofing, was in the process of setting up his fall protection for his work. Employee #1 was walking up to the ridge when he slipped and fell 19 ft 4 in. from a roof of a newly constructed home. One coworker was on the roof at the time of the accident but did not witness what happened. Employee #1's coworker called the site superintendent for help, and the local fire department was called. Employee #1 was transported to Roseville Sutter, where he was treated for his injuries and released 4 days later.
