Employee injured when forklift fell off trailer

Employee #1 works as a truck driver for an employer who rents construction equipment. Employee #1 was loading a forklift truck onto a low bed trailer to move it to a new location. As Employee #1 was backing the forklift onto the trailer the throttle stuck, causing the forklift to move faster than Employee #1 expected. Employee #1 stepped on the brake, which caused the forklift to move to the side and slip off the trailer. The forklift came to rest on its side, leaning against the low bed trailer. Employee #1 received several bruises on his legs, arms, back and chest. Employee #1 was not hospitalized for treatment of these injuries.
