Employee Killed When Hydraulic Jack Failed

Employee #1 worked as a laborer for an employer that sets mobile homes up on the owner's property. Employee #1 was sitting on the ground to monitor a jack that was holding the mobile home. Employee #1's feet were in the excavation for the foundation footing. The excavation was at the edge of the mobile home putting Employee #1 underneath the mobile home. The mobile home was being lowered on the side opposite Employee #1. The mobile home moved sideways toward Employee #1 and dropped. Employee #1 was crushed between a cinder block and the mobile home. Employee #1 was killed.
