Employee's pelvis fractured when struck by loader

Employee #1 was working for a subcontractor that was laying railroad tracks at a job site in Vallejo, CA. He and his supervisor were removing the plastic cover from a large fabric roll near the track subgrade when a John Deere 664D front-end loader backed into the roll and Employee #1. He suffered a fractured pelvis and lacerated wrist, and was transported to John Muir Hospital for treatment.
