Concrete-encased metal pipe strikes employee

Employee #1 was walking in an aisle way alongside truck scale area where trucks were loading with debris from a chute on an upper floor. A 10.5-ft-long section of concrete-encased metal pipe was hanging over the chute opening. An excavator tried to move it back, but it fell 20 ft through chute to the lower level, bounced, and hit Employee #1 on the foot while he was walking in the aisle way. Employee #1 was hospitalized for his injury.
