Employee killed in jump or fall from moving tractor

Employee #1 and a coworker were using a tractor with an attached compactor, seeder, and ring roller to seed a field. The coworker stopped the tractor and motioned with his hand for Employee #1 to check the hopper for seeds. Employee #1 stepped up on the platform at the back of seeder, opened the hopper, and motioned "O.K." with his hands. He then jumped off the platform, clear of the equipment. The coworker continued seeding the field in a circle, and found Employee #1 lying, face down, on the ground. He had been killed in the fall. There were no accident-related violations.
