Employee killed when shot by coworker

At approximately 10:07 p.m. on August 14, 1996, Employee #1 got into an argument with a coworker over a car accident that had taken place at work approximately 45 days earlier. The coworker's private vehicle had been damaged in the accident, and he and Employee #1 were arguing over money that Employee #1 owed him. The dispute escalated and the coworker shot Employee #1 in the head and body. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the San Jose Police Department at approximately 10:09 p.m. The coworker had made no prior threats toward him. No accident-related violations were cited, but an arrest warrant for murder had been issued against the coworker.
