Employee gets left fingertip amputated from working with a t

On September 9th 2008, Employee #1 was in the process of ripping furring strips for a bathroom wall using a 10 inch Delta motorized table saw, serial number was K9302. The redwood stock material kicked back resulting in the amputation of the left index fingertip. The material being cut was a 10 inch long by 1.25 inch thick piece of redwood. The employee was in the process of reducing the thickness of the wood to 0.5625 inches.
