Employee Is Killed When Van Overturns

At approximately 1:04 p.m. on April 2, 2007, an employee was working with a 10-member road cleaning crew. The crew members were on their way back to their headquarters aboard a 2007 Ford E350 cargo van. The van was traveling southward on Highway 116 when it swerved to the right. Its right side tires hit the gravel shoulder and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The van barreled through a road guardrail and plunged down a 6-foot embankment, landing on its side in a field. The employee was killed while coworkers sustained non-serious injuries.
