Employee Is Injured When Struck by Falling Barrel

At approximately 3:10 p.m. on February 20, 2007 Employee #1 was working for an employer that produced wines. Employee #1 was in the warehouse area of the winery using a BT Pallet Truck, serial number 2.980.000 to move wine barrels. The top wine barrel being pushed came in contact with another previously stored wine barrel causing the top barrel to fall approximately 12 ft. The falling barrel struck Employee #1, breaking his leg and injuring his back. Employee #1 was hospitalized and treated for his injuries.
