Investigation Summary
At approximately 1:45 p.m. on April 28, 2008, Employee #1 was a timber size operator at Nu Forest Products, Inc. He was processing a 24 ft 6-in. by 12-in. board through the inbound tilt hoist. A forklift was hauling various length boards. A board on the forklift struck the board being processed. Employee #1 was injured when he was struck by the board being processed. He was hospitalized for treatment of multiple fractures, including seven fractured ribs.
