Employee's Ribs Fractured in Fall from Ladder

At 1:00 p.m. on February 2, 2007, Employee #1, of Waterproofing Specialties Inc., was working with a coworker to install a building waterproofing system. The employer installs waterproofing systems on residential buildings. The waterproofing is located on the reinforced foundation wall located below grade. At the time of the injury, Employee #1 and a coworker were working in the excavation installing the waterproofing material. Employee #1 was on a 20-foot long Werner fiberglass extension ladder, when he fell. He was hospitalized with eight fractured ribs.
