Employee Suffers Amputation

Employee #1 was standing on top of the platform of the baggage loader by the ladder holding onto the safety railing with his left hand. Employee #1 noticed it was going to be a tight squeeze so he stepped back and the door continued to open. Employee #1's left ring finger became caught by the bottom right hand side of the cargo door. Employee #1 lost about 0.25-in. of the finger tip. Employee 31 was treated for his injuries but was not hospitalized.
