Employee injured foot when caught in conveyor belt

An employee was injured while he was "tracking" a belt. The employer's lockout and tagout procedures required the employee to lockout the conveyor he was standing on and the one behind him when tracking a belt in front of him. The employee was on his knees and moving backwards when his foot was caught between the conveyor he was on, which was turned off, and the conveyor behind him, which was left running. He suffered abrasions and lacerations to his left foot and was not hospitalized.
