Employee Is Injured in Fall from Luggage Loader

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on March 15, 1999, Employee #1, a baggage handler, was unloading the luggage containers off of an aircraft. He was standing at the edge of the loader platform. As he pulled on the hand-strap of one container, the strap broke, and he fell 14 feet through an opening in the guardrail. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
