Employee crushed between truck cab and platform

On March 24, 1999, Employee #1 was working on a lift truck whose cargo area rises up to transfer supplies onto airliners. Employee #1 climbed in between a truck's cab roof and the platform of the lift truck to try to kick free a tray cart that was stuck inside the truck's cargo area. As the cart was freed, the platform dropped onto Employee #1 and crushed him. He suffered a fractured hip and was hospitalized.
