Employee's fingertip amputated while using portable saw

At 7:15 a.m. on December 19, 2007, Employee #1, of Northwest Harmon Concrete, was using a Skil 77 portable saw to cut a 12 ft long 2-by-6 at a construction site. He was holding the board with his left hand when his hand slipped behind the board and the saw blade amputated the tip of his left middle finger.
