Employee injured when arm becomes caught in machine rollers

At approximately 1:00 a.m. on or about January 16, 1998, Employee #1 was operating a Herr Voss coiled metal leveling machine. He had opened the roller set and was checking the driven rollers for dirt when he apparently reached too far into the 2 1/2 in. wide opening with his right hand and was pulled into the moving rollers. He sustained a fractured elbow and contusions and lacerations under his armpit.
