Investigation Summary
An electrician's helper was working about 5 feet above the floor on an 8-foot ladder. He was working on an energized circuit. A coworker standing in the doorway in the same room heard a vibrating sound. When he turned, he saw the helper fall from the ladder to the floor. The helper fell backward, striking a sheetrock wall before landing on the concrete floor. The helper died, presumably either from a possible electric shock or from injuries sustained in the fall. (The death certificate had not been prepared at the time the original abstract was completed.)
