Employee Dies after Suffering Stomach Aneurysm

Employee #1, a supervisor, was walking through a machine shop area when he allegedly slipped and pulled a groin muscle. Employee #1 went home, began to feel worse, then went to a hospital emergency room for evaluation. During the exam, the doctor determined that he had suffered an aneurysm of the stomach and required emergency surgery. Eleven days after the surgery, Employee #1 died of blood clot(s), and/or a pulmonary embolus. No autopsy was performed. The body was cremated.
