Investigation Summary
At 6:00 p.m. on July 15, 2017, an employee was cleaning the fruit munching machine, model CJ, serial # 4A010908. The employee caught her left thumb in the machine and amputated it from her hand. The employee was taken to Valley Medical Center and transferred to Stanford Hospital in an attempt to reattach her thumb on her hand. The employee was hospitalized.
