Event: 11/01/1995
Employee killed in fall from wall

At 10:30 a.m. on November 1, 1995, Employee #1, a laborer for Pett Construction, and a coworker were setting trusses. They were standing on exterior walls when four trusses were hoisted to them. After Employee #1 and the coworker stood the trusses upright, the coworker grabbed one truss and told Employee #1 to hold onto the other three trusses. When Employee #1 said he had control of the trusses, the coworker bent over to pick up a brace. At that time, Employee #1 fell over to the second floor. Suffering multiple fractures, he was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, where he died.
