Investigation Summary
At 5:45 a.m. on July 6, 2017, an employee was working on a belt conveyor to get it back on track when he noticed a clump of manure that was jamming the conveyor. The employee reached to remove the clump with his hand and caught it in the auger, pinching his finger between the auger and metal frame of the conveyor. The employee suffered having his fingertip amputated. The employee was not hospitalized.
