Investigation Summary
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on August 25, 1994, Employee #1 and a coworker, of the Oregon Department of Forestry, were using crawler tractors to clear roads in White City. The roads were going to be used for travel and fire breaks. As Employee #1 was working on a road to the southwest of his coworker, he was caught in a fire storm and killed by the fire. He was found approximately an hour and a half later, after the fire had passed over the area.
