Investigation Nr: 170132948
Event: 12/17/1994
Employee killed in fall from tree

On December 17, 1994, Employee #1, of Timber Mobile Estates, was trimming and topping a 70 ft fir tree in a mobile home park. After he had limbed the tree, he started topping it. He had cut five blocks that were approximately 2 ft long, when he decided to readjust his belt. He leaned back into the safety belt and the rope rolled upward and came off the tree. Employee #1 fell 60 ft, hitting an awning of a mobile house before landing feet first on a cement porch. He was killed.
